About the station

01

The station

Radio Folk is being prepared as a station for visitor information. The pieces are spoken notes meant to stay useful, rather than to expire with a broadcast day. There is no program grid, no recurring show, and no news deadline.

The frequency is 106.5 FM. Broadcasting has not begun. This website is a notice of what is being prepared. It is not a stream, and it holds no recordings.

Notes

Three kinds of spoken note are planned. None of them has a time slot. Together they are what the station is for.

Finding your way

How the communities of Norfolk relate to one another, and what is worth knowing before a first visit.

Local history

Short accounts of how places in the county took shape, told as history rather than as news.

Practical visitor information

Facts a visitor can use on the day: getting around, and what to keep in mind on the shore and inland. Not a weather report, and not a booking service.

04

Partners

Residents, visitor services, museums, municipalities, and local businesses are invited to contribute accurate information when the station is ready to receive it. This section is an invitation, not a list of sponsors.

Coverage is chosen by the station. Sponsorship, if any is accepted, does not decide what is covered. A contribution of facts is not an advertisement.

There is no contact form on this site, and no address is listed. A real way to write in will be added when one exists.
